About the Program

The AFIH is a three-month certificate program offered in affiliation with the Central Labour Institute, Mumbai, a body of the Ministry of Labour and Employment (GOI).
This program is open to MBBS doctors, where they learn critical skills for the prevention of occupational hazards, early identification of occupational hazards and diseases, and implementation of corrective actions. They develop competence to prevent and manage accidents in industries and mines. On successful completion of the program, candidates become eligible to work as industrial medical officers in factories and other industrial organizations.

Eligibility for Associate Fellowship in Industrial Health (AFIH)

MBBS Degree from an Institution recognized by the Medical Council of India, Completion of Internship, Permanent Registration with the State Medical Council/Medical Council of India. Minimum one year experience in Industry/Occupational health related work or 2 years in general practice after completion of internship.
