About Department

The Department of Social Work was established in 2022. The programs offered through the department are a two-year postgraduate course in Social Work with three Specializations: Human Resource Management, Medical and Psychiatry, Social Work and Community Development, and a doctoral degree. The department is dynamic and contemporary and provides all sorts of facilities with a virtuous infrastructure for their learning environment. The department has taken a skill-based approach to train students in analytical inquiry, intellectual and professional competencies, research skills, and capacities to deal with various development aspects and social issues that affect communities without compromising society’s ethics, values, and social justice. The training pedagogy used to teach the students is a participatory learning method that will aid in bringing out their hidden potential and applying skills for their professional development and advancement. The department has renowned faculty members who are consistent and committed to delivering their full potential to exhibit the students’ talents for their professional development.
