The Department of psychology at SRM University provides a graduation program in Psychology with an updated syllabus that can be benchmarked with the universities with top NIRF Rankings. The demand for psychologists in clinical, industrial, and academic settings is increasing daily, and the scope for psychology is rising. In this scenario, the Department ensures outreach programs that provide field exposure while studying. Different clubs are active for the students of the Department to enrich their knowledge, social commitment, and organizational skills. Overall, establishing this department aims to ensure sound minds for all in our society and help develop trainers and mind groomers.

The Department of Psychology focuses on empowering the skills of the students through different activities and a skill-oriented syllabus. It serves as a platform to explore the talents and opportunities of the students. Even though it’s a young department, it achieved a unique identity with the collective effort of students and faculty.

There are different clubs functioning in the department with several objectives and perspectives like Mental Health club, Media club, LGBTQIA+ Club, Social Issues club. All these facilitates the thought process and perspectives of students.
