The Directorate of Sports, SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST), Kattankulathur, is pleased to share the achievement of Mr. E. Surya Aaditya, a student of III year B.Tech. Computer Science and Engineering (RA2311003012327), who secured a Gold Medal and captained the Tamil Nadu team “Chennai Bull” at the Equestrian Champions League – Season 1.

The national-level show jumping competition was held from 4th to 6th July 2025 at Coimbatore and was organised by the Equine Sports India Federation. The event brought together top equestrian talent from across the country in a team-based format inspired by the Indian Premier League (IPL). With structured franchises, professional riders, and a competitive league format, the championship has set a new benchmark in equestrian sports in India.

Mr. Aaditya’s role as both a rider and team leader was instrumental in guiding “Chennai Bull” to a top podium finish. His performance earned him individual recognition with a gold medal and contributed significantly to his team’s overall success in the league.

Equestrian sports demand a high level of discipline, coordination, and commitment, and Mr. Aaditya has demonstrated all these qualities through his consistent participation and dedication to the sport. His success highlights the growing interest and support for diverse sporting disciplines at SRMIST.
