SRMIST Signs MoU with Mission Aerofi to Foster Innovation and Industry Collaboration

SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST-KTR), Kattankulathur, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Mission Aerofi, Bangalore, on June 9, 2025, marking a strategic alliance aimed at enhancing research, innovation, and industry-academia collaboration. The ceremony was held at Dr. Venkataraman Ramakrishnan Hall, 15th Floor – University Building, SRMIST-KTR campus.

The MoU was signed in the presence of Prof. C. Muthamizhchelvan, Vice Chancellor, SRMIST, who shared his visionary insights with Mr. Arunakar Mishra, Director and Member of the Governing Board, Mission Aerofi. The official exchange of the MoU was conducted between Dr. Ponnusamy, Registrar, SRMIST, and Mr. Arunakar Mishra.

Mr. Mishra also offered a brief overview of Mission Aerofi’s mission and its alignment with SRMIST’s academic and research goals. The collaboration was made possible through the efforts of Mr. T.R. Parasuram, Chair Professor, whose initiative and leadership were instrumental in facilitating this partnership.

The event was graced by the Chairperson of the School of Mechanical Engineering, Heads of Departments, senior faculty members, and Mr. Anandsankar, Managing Director of Amigoo Aerospace and a member of Aerofi, who was present as a distinguished guest.

Through this MoU, SRMIST and Mission Aerofi will collaborate in the areas of:

  • Joint research and innovation initiatives
  • Industry-relevant student internships and training
  • Faculty immersion programs
  • Infrastructure and knowledge sharing
  • Domain-specific project development
