The Department of Computing Technologies, SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST), Kattankulathur, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), Bangalore. This strategic collaboration aims to foster research, development, and skill enhancement in emerging technologies, bridging the gap between academic learning and industry requirements.

Through this partnership, SRMIST and C-DAC will collaborate on innovative projects, submit joint research proposals for funding, and work together to develop healthcare technologies and solutions for societal benefit. The agreement also emphasises industry-academia integration through internships, industry visits, and real-world project opportunities, ensuring students gain practical insights and hands-on experience.
In addition, the MoU encourages innovation in emerging technologies like IoT, Drone Technology, and Language Computing, while facilitating the establishment of specialized research labs and a Centre of Excellence (CoE) dedicated to future technologies. A significant focus will also be placed on cybersecurity, digital forensics, and securing critical infrastructure through joint initiatives.
