SRMIST Signs MoU with Atos to Forge a Transformative Academia-Industry Partnership

The Career Centre at SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST-KTR) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Atos on 4th March 2025, marking the beginning of a groundbreaking collaboration designed to bridge the gap between academia and industry.

This partnership aims to equip students with advanced skills, global exposure, and the opportunity to lead in an ever-evolving technological landscape.

Key Highlights of the MoU:

Academic-Industry Synergy: SRMIST’s expertise in DevSecOps, IoT, and cutting-edge technologies will complement Atos’ industry insights. Plans are underway to establish a Research Lab/ Centre of Excellence (CoE) focused on AI-driven automation, cybersecurity, software development, and cloud technologies.

Research & Innovation: The partnership will set annual research goals, encouraging publications, patents, and technological breakthroughs. Joint research initiatives will benefit from shared infrastructure and expert knowledge exchange.

Industry-Led Learning: Co-developed courses blending academic rigour with industry relevance will offer students hands-on projects, real-world case studies, and mentorship from ATOS professionals.

Skill Development & Competitions: Hackathons, datathons, and ideathons will be organised to foster creativity and innovation with rewards and internship pathways for high-performing students.

Global Exposure and Sustainability: SRMIST’s foreign language programs will prepare students for global roles, and collaborative sustainability projects will focus on renewable energy and green technologies.
