The Directorate of Sports initiated this achievement with the belief that
“Champions are built on discipline, shaped in sweat, and crowned on the field.”
With grit in their hearts and gold in their sights, the SRMIST Men’s Football Team has emerged victorious, securing the Gold Medal at the Open State Level Invitational Football Men’s Tournament, held at Arani, Tiruvannamalai, from 30th May to 1st June 2025.
Participating teams from across Tamil Nadu competed fiercely, but the SRMIST squad stood out through disciplined training, unwavering teamwork, and tactical brilliance. Under the expert guidance of Coach, Mr. Divakar and the strategic leadership of Dr. C. Suresh (Team Manager), the players demonstrated exceptional sportsmanship and athletic prowess to claim the top prize.
