The Directorate of Sports at SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST) is thrilled to announce the exceptional performance of the SRMIST Ball Badminton (Men’s) Team, which proudly secured the Silver Medal at the State-Level Ball Badminton Tournament hosted by MRC Ball Badminton Club, Tirunelveli, from 14th to 15th June 2025.

The two-day tournament witnessed intense competition among top collegiate teams from across Tamil Nadu. Amidst tough contenders and challenging matchups, the SRMIST team stood out with their strategic finesse, sharp reflexes, and cohesive teamwork. Each round, the team demonstrated unwavering focus and discipline, earning accolades from spectators and organisers alike.

Led by the experienced coaching staff and supported by the SRM Directorate of Sports, the players showcased tremendous grit and sportsmanship. Their journey to the finals was marked by key victories and nail-biting finishes that reflected their training, coordination, and passion for the game.

The final match was a thrilling encounter where the SRMIST team fought valiantly, displaying commendable stamina and tactical play. Though they narrowly missed the gold, their achievement of finishing second in a highly competitive tournament is a testament to their hard work and dedication.
