The Directorate of Sports, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Kattankulathur (SRMIST-KTR) announces the achievement of its swimming and diving team at the 79th Senior State Aquatic Championship held on 6th and 7th June, 2025. The SRMIST contingent delivered an inspiring display of skill, determination, and sportsmanship, securing a total of 7 Gold, 6 Silver, and 2 Bronze medals.

Among the standout performers was Mr. Nithik Nathella, a second-year B.Tech ECE student, who clinched four gold medals and set two new state meet records in the 200m Backstroke and 100m Backstroke events. He further contributed with golds in the 200m Freestyle and 400m Freestyle, and silver medals in the 4x200m and 4x100m Freestyle Relays.

In the diving events, Mr. Servesh L, a third-year B.Sc. (Physical Education) student, earned gold in High Board Diving, silver in 3m Springboard, and bronze in 1m Springboard, showcasing his versatility and consistent performance across formats.

Mr. Mohan G, pursuing his M.Sc. in Yoga, won silver in High Board Diving, while Mr. Parthiv Vignesh, a first-year B.Sc. (Computer Science) student, secured silver in the 4x100m Medley Relay.

Adding further to the tally, Mr. Vishal S R, a first-year BBA student, earned two golds in the 4x100m Freestyle Relay and 4x100m Mixed Freestyle Relay, along with a silver in the 4x100m Medley Relay and a bronze in the 200m Individual Medley.
