SRM School of Law Collaborates with International Mediation Organisation (IMO) for Advanced Mediation Training

13th March 2025, Kattankulathur – A new partnership with the International Mediation Organization (IMO), a distinguished Not-for-Profit Organisation dedicated to achieving “Peace For Ever” through global mediation services, has been signed with SRM School of Law, SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST), Kattankulathur. This collaboration will significantly enhance the practical skills and knowledge of law students in the vital field of alternative dispute resolution.

IMO is renowned for its comprehensive services, which include Mediation Awareness Programs, Mediation Services, other Alternative Dispute Resolution services, Legal Aid services, drafting Contracts & Agreements, and a wide array of Training Programmes in diverse branches of law. With a proven track record of successfully resolving over 1500 cases across various issues, IMO’s mediators bring international expertise in organisational conflict management and non-adjudicatory dispute resolution.

This collaboration aims to foster a strong working relationship between IMO and SRM School of Law in the areas of training, research, consultancy, outreach, and knowledge sharing. A cornerstone of this partnership is the opportunity for law students at SRM School of Law, to participate in a 48-Hour Mediation Training Program, along with other advanced training initiatives. These programs will include workshops, conferences, webinars, seminars, and whitepaper presentations, all designed to provide participants with in-depth theoretical understanding and practical skills to become highly efficient mediators.

IMO will also support SRM School of Law in identifying and engaging qualified trainers and experts in mediation to deliver sessions during various training programs, lectures, seminars, fireside talks, and round table conferences. This ensures that students receive instruction from leading professionals in the field, further enriching their learning experience.
