SRMIST proudly celebrates a spectacular achievement as our Ball Badminton Men’s Team secured the Gold Medal at the prestigious South India Invitational Ball Badminton Men’s Tournament held at Piler, Andhra Pradesh, from June 8th to 9th, 2025. Demonstrating exceptional commitment, strategic planning, and unmatched teamwork, the team overcame tough competition to bring home the coveted title, making the entire SRMIST community proud.
The tournament witnessed fierce challenges, but our players showed remarkable skill, stamina, and coordination, highlighting the quality of training and spirit instilled by their coach, Dr. J. C. D. Rajkumar. Among the shining stars was K. Arun Kumar (3rd year, B.Sc. Physical Education), who earned special recognition as the Best Centre Player of the tournament, a testament to his agility and leadership on the court.
The winning squad comprised dedicated students from various disciplines, representing the true spirit of interdisciplinary collaboration at SRMIST. The team members are:
