SRM Faculty of Management, SRMIST NSS, and Vidhaigal Thannarva Amaippu organised an awareness rally titled “Say No to Plastic” and a “Yellow Bag Distribution” initiative on February 10, 2025.
The rally commenced from the Faculty of Management building, proceeded through TP Ganesan Auditorium, and concluded at SRM Hospital. During the event, reusable yellow bags were distributed to visitors in the SRM Hospital area, promoting sustainable alternatives to plastic and encouraging eco-friendly practices.
Dr. Shivganesh Bhargava, Dean, Faculty of Management, SRMIST KTR and Dr. Krishnan A.R., Professor & BBA Chairperson, Faculty of Management, SRMIST KTR, graced the occasion.
Dr. K. Maheswari, NSS Programme Officer, SRMIST, Dr. V. Prakash, NSS Programme Coordinator, SRMIST, and Dr. T. Lakshmanan, NSS Programme Advisor, SRMIST, coordinated the initiative.
Seventy-five students enthusiastically participated in the event, actively contributing to raising awareness about plastic waste reduction and environmental sustainability.
By taking such a great initiative to raise awareness about plastic waste reduction and create an eco-friendly environment, the SRM community exhibits its commitment to maintaining a green environment and uplifting society.
