Earthquake Research Cell (EQRC)
SRMIST established an Earthquake Research cell (EQRC) in July 2012 for Advanced Research on the causes for origin, occurrence and prediction of Earthquake

Interdisciplinary Institute of Indian System of Medicine (IIISM)
IIISM Established in 2008, this prestigious IIISM is at the forefront of promoting research in the field of traditional system of Indian Medicine, including Siddha, Ayurveda and Unani.
Collaborations
IIISM has signed a MoU with Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi and Adesh Institute of Medical Sciences, Punjab for conducting multi-centric clinical trials of the polyherbal formulations.The herbal drugs that successfully pass clinical evaluation will be manufactured by SRM Pharma Pvt. Ltd., Chennai.
SRMIST has signed a MoU with M/S. SMO Connect Pvt. Ltd, Cochin, Kerala for conducting Phase-III Clinical trial on modern medicine in the area of Endocrinology, Pulmonology, Cardiology, Dermatology, Rheumatology etc
Center for Environmental Nuclear Research (CENR)
CENR as a Center was established in 2009 with grants from the Department of Atomic Energy, Board of Research in Nuclear Science (BRNS), Mumbai and with the extensive support from Directorate of Research, SRMIST
