About the Department

Master of Pharmacy (M Pharm) in Pharmaceutics is a 2 year postgraduate Pharmacy programme. Pharmaceutics is the science of dosage form design that incorporates all aspects of the process of creating formulations that may be used safely and efficiently by patients in the community. The program pertains to the pharmaceutical manufacturing process and offers knowledge on the various developments in pharmaceutical industry and drug delivery techniques. Students at SRM will comprehend how medications are created and produced in commercial environments by learning about the cutting-edge techniques in medication production, drug delivery systems, formulation design, and advanced analytical processes, etc. The curriculum provides students with the information and skills necessary to research and develop innovative formulations and explore the pharmaceutical manufacturing process of the future. The curriculum and syllabi are guided as per Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), the statutory body governing pharmacy profession in the country. SRM with its well equipped laboratory setup matching industry standards, inter-disciplinary learning and research outcomes with the SRM Medicine & Health Science institutions, qualified and experienced faculty, industry oriented curriculum, placement opportunities and faculty-student mentorship program for every student offers you a distinct advantage over its peers in the field of pharmaceutical education.
