B.Arch - Architecture

The B.Arch. degree programme at SRM is recognized as one of India’s premier courses. The course, of 10-semester duration, is among the most comprehensive programmes in Architecture due to the thrust on contemporary issues such as sustainability, urban re-development etc. and continuous interaction with practicing architects of repute. It also offers a large number of elective studies, ensuring flexibility and choice-based education tailored to the areas of special interest to students, such as urban design, landscape architecture, housing, project management, city planning etc. The programme is approved by the Council of Architecture, New Delhi and was the first one in South India to be accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (AICTE), in 2001.

Eligibility for B.Arch Programme

No candidate shall be admitted to an architecture course unless she/ he has passed an examination at the end of the 10+2 scheme of examination with at least 60% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics and also at least 60% marks in aggregate of the 10+2 level examination or passed 10+3 Diploma Examination with Mathematics as compulsory subject with at least 60% marks in aggregate.

A pass in the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by the Council of Architecture, IITJEE Mains – Paper II is also considered, based on the passing criteria (as per the COA notification Ref.No.CA/28/NATA 2017 dated 15th June 2017).

Note: No separate entrance examination will be conducted by SRM Institute of Science and Technology (formerly known as SRM University). However, the candidates have to apply in the prescribed application form for admission to B.Arch. program.

Step 1 - register

Sign up or Register for CET with basic details (Name, Email ID, Mobile No., State, Gender and Password). Your Email ID will act as your Username for the portal while the password will be set by you upon registration.
