1. Founder’s Scholarship (applicable for 4 years)
Objective: Instituted in the year 2010, the scholarship aims to encourage and attract (1) toppers in qualifying examination or Joint Entrance examination seek admission in the first year of B. Tech (2) exemplary sports personalities to seek admission in any Diploma/UG/PG programmes of SRM IST.
Who can apply?
Candidates who have passed qualifying examination (HSC or degree as applicable) in regular mode in FIRST ATTEMPT in the current year of admission, and secured
A).Early Bird:- Applicable to students who have passed out in the previous year and could not take admission anywhere due to any reasons whatsoever (Early Bird) provided they secure the said percentage of marks in +2 examination.
B).Extremely Meritorious Students:- 1. Top 100 ranks (spread across all phases) in SRMJEEE (UG), 2. Top 20,000 ranks in IIT JEE (Mains), 3. State first rank in HSC of respective state boards or CBSE within India 4. District topper in HSC in Tamil Nadu State Board or CBSE within Tamil Nadu.
C).Exemplary sports persons:- representing University/District (Province)/Zone/State/National/International

2. SRM Merit Scholarship
Objective:Instituted in the year 2010, the scholarship aims to encourage and attract outstanding candidates in SRMJEE (UG) to seek admission in the first year of B. Tech in SRM IST.
Who can apply?
Candidates who have secured SRMJEEE Rank 101-500 (spread across all phases), as fixed for various Phases (I, II & III) in SRMJEE (UG) / campuses.

3. Socio-Economic Scholarship
Objective: Instituted in the year 2012, the scholarship aims to encourage and attract academically good and deserving candidates but do not have the financial background to pay the academic and non-academic fees.
Who can apply?
Candidates who have passed qualifying examination (HSC or degree as applicable) in regular mode in FIRST ATTEMPT in the current year of admission, secured good marks, and
- NGOs and Tribal Community: Recommended by reputed NGOs that are recognised by SRMIST.
- Low Income Families: Recommended by Not-for-profit organisations that are recognised by SRMIST or through representation by individual student.

4. Unnat Bharat Abhiyan Scholarship
Objective: Instituted in the year 2020, the scholarship aims to provide free education to the poor student’s up-to UG level, to improve the quality of education of Rural students in the adopted villages and encourage them to pursue higher studies in the first year in SRM IST.
Who can apply?
Candidates who have passed qualifying examination (HSC) in regular mode in FIRST ATTEMPT in the current year of admission, scored higher marks and studied in Government Schools of the adopted 8 villages. This benefit will be provided to one student per year for each adopted village, every year under Vendhar Education Grants Scheme

5.Differently-Abled Scholarship
Objective: Instituted in the year 2012, the scholarship aims to support students with Locomotor / orthopaedic disability, visually impaired, Speech & Hearing impaired, mental disability, multiple disabilities etc., and facilitate their academic pursuit.
Who can apply?
Any student who fall under the above category and need additional institutional support of any kind that includes financial support.

6. SRM Arts and Culture Scholarship
Objective: Instituted in the year 2015, the scholarship aims to encourage and support students demonstrating exemplary talent in various Art forms, creativity and cultural activities having a positive influence on our social and economic life or our state or country.
Who can apply?
Students who demonstrate exemplary talent in Art/culture recognised at state/National level like by participating in cultural exchange programs, festival of India abroad, etc.,

7.Employee ward scholarship (EWS)
Objective: Instituted in the year 2010, the scholarship aims to recognise and appreciate the services rendered by Teaching, Non-Teaching and administrative staff of SRM Group of Institutions.
Who can apply?
Employees who have completed a minimum of 5 years of continuous service on regular rolls at any of the SRM group of Institutions can apply.

NOTE: Campus and degree programmes will be allotted by SRM IST based on (a) availability of seats allotted exclusively for EWS (b) To apply for EWS it is mandatory that the student appears for SRMJEEE/Health Science Entrance Exams /SRMJEEM/SRMJEEL conducted by SRM IST (c) Eligibility norms of SRMIST. |
- EWS is not available beyond the second time.
- The applications for EWS will be called in the month of April every year by the Directorate of Admissions.
- The filled in application forms should be forwarded by the respective schools/Colleges to the office of the Registrar through the competent authorities.
- After scrutinizing, the same will be forwarded to the office of the Director of Admissions for further processing.
- The employee has to be on the rolls of SRMIST during the entire duration of the program.
- The above scholarships are applicable even after the retirement / demise of the employee.
8.Alumni Scholarship
Objective: Instituted in the year 2018, the scholarship aims to recognise, motivate and support the Alumni of SRMIST.
Who can apply?
Candidates whose parent is an Alumni of SRM having completed his/her UG at least 15 years/PG at least 10 years, before the application of scholarship.
Conditions: Must apply every year within the stipulated date

9. Performance Based Scholarship
Objective: Instituted in the year 2010, the scholarship aims to recognise the consistency in academic performance of the students and motivate them student, to perform better in subsequent years of study.
Who can apply?
Candidates who have attained a minimum CGPA as stipulated by the scholarship committee at the beginning of the academic year.

10. Concessions
Objective: To support students who need some sort of financial concessions by way of recognition of their needs/achievements.
Who can apply?
Students who
(a) Do not have the wherewithal to continue the studies due to family situation
(b) Lost an earning member in his/her family

11. Defence Scholarship
Objective: To support students who need some sort of financial concessions by way of recognition of their needs / achievements.
Who can apply?
Candidates whose parent is a Defence Personnel, either in service / retired are eligible to apply.
Conditions: Must apply every year within the stipulated date

12. Sponsored Scholarship
Objective:
To facilitate the candidates to get the scholarship from various external funding/ sponsoring agencies (Govt, private, NGOs, etc.,).
Who can apply?
Candidates who are eligible as per the conditions laid by the sponsoring agency.

Important Note
- The Authorities of SRMIST have the right to revoke the scholarship if the student is found to have a track record of misbehavior, indiscipline, indulgence in any malpractice or fraudulence, or any other reason which compromises the reputation of the Institute.
- The decision of the scholarship committee is final and binding.
- No scholarship is retrospective.
- Scholarship is not a demand of right.
- All the above scholarships are renewed every year subject to meeting set performance norms.
