Coordinator's Message
National Service Scheme (NSS) is a voluntary organization for young students that plays a crucial role in shaping character and fostering social responsibility to serve society without bias. It aims to inculcate social welfare in students, and through community services, it helps in building their personality. By engaging in various community service activities, NSS aims to instill a sense of empathy, compassion, and commitment to social welfare among students.
Overall, the diverse range of regular activities undertaken by NSS volunteers demonstrates their unwavering commitment to serving the community and making a positive impact on society, contributing to building a better world for all.
NSS volunteers work to provide help in natural and man-made disasters by supplying food, clothing, and first aid training programmes, arrange blood donation camps to fulfil the shortage of blood requirements in hospitals, engage in tree plantation to protect the environment and save Mother Earth, participate in cleanliness campaigns for hygiene and a healthy life, conduct road safety awareness campaigns to reduce road accidents, and organize street plays and awareness campaigns to save the girl child and educate her etc.
NSS Special Camps serve as transformative experiences that not only broaden volunteers’ perspectives but also equip them with essential life skills and values. By immersing themselves in rural communities and actively engaging in service-oriented activities, volunteers emerge with a heightened sense of social responsibility and a deeper understanding of the principles of value education.
With all the experiences from NSS, I am sure that volunteers will learn how to lead a life of dignity with a positive mindset. NSS provides volunteers with a transformative experience that not only enhances their personal growth and sense of responsibility but also equips them with the skills and values needed to contribute meaningfully to the nation’s development. By fostering a culture of service, leadership, and citizenship, NSS empowers volunteers to lead lives of dignity and make lasting contributions to the progress and prosperity of their country.
with Warm Regards,
