Transducer Engineering Lab
A transducer is a device that converts one form of energy into another form. There are various types of transducers being used in our day-to-day activities. This laboratory course completely deals with the basic operating principle of transducers and their experimental observations. In this lab, the students are exposed to observing the characteristics of various transducers including resistive, inductive, and capacitive transducers. To start with this laboratory session, initially all students are trained to use measuring instruments like multimeters and thermometers. A thorough understanding of the usage of multimeters is mandatory for proceeding with the course. The usage of autotransformers, regulated power supplies, and specific trainer kits are made familiar to the students.
