This Lab Is Used By The Students To Perform Practical’s Pertaining To The Study Of Optical Fiber Communication Using State-Of-The-Art Kits. The Department provides in-depth knowledge on Advanced Optical Communication. The Lab in Fiber Optics Provides The Student With An Experience On The Various Fiber Optic and Digital Communication Techniques.

Description
The Lab Is Equipped With Fiber Optic Trainer Kits And Modules To Enable The Study Of Components Of An Optical Communication System. The students perform experiments to study the characteristics of optical sources (LED & LD), Optical Detectors (LD & APD) And Optical Fibers(SM & MM). Fault Detection In A Fiber Link Is Studied Using The OTDR Module, Free Space Optical Communication.
