Molecular Biology lab
Equipment and facilities in the molecular biology lab are readily available for students and faculty for both academic and research purposes.
Molecular Biology is a branch of biology that deals with the study of cellular components and their structure and functions. The Molecular Biology laboratory has emerged as a prominent and necessary component in the preparation of undergraduate students for careers in the molecular life sciences such as genetics, immunology, microbiology, neurochemistry, etc. These students must gain extensive laboratory experience working with DNA and proteins, and a formal lab course is usually the best way to get that experience. This step prepares students for future participation in research at the undergraduate and graduate levels, as well as jobs in the biotechnological and pharmaceutical industries. The lab is well equipped with the latest instruments and can accommodate a batch of 30 students.
