Mental health Lab
In recent times, Mental Health has become a need of the hour. Mental health discipline has a special significance in the history of occupational therapy. Occupational Therapists with their clinical knowledge work on activity participation and skills needed for healthy functioning of the individuals with mental disturbances. This lab offers space for students to practice with guidance to build the necessary therapeutic skills and attitudes needed during psychosocial rehabilitation. Students have accessibility to practice the psychometric scales and assessment tools like MMSE, MOCA, Allen Cognitive Scale, etc. that are available in the lab. Occupational Therapy groups are often conducted in labs among students and faculties to enable understanding about group dynamics and process. Students also enact techniques like role play, psychodrama, motivational interviewing, etc. to enhancement their clinical practice skills.
