- Mechanical Operations And Heat Transfer Laboratory
About the Lab
The lab is equipped with various pilot scale heavy size reduction equipment for raw material processing, particle separators based on sizes, and slurry filtration equipment. These pilot-sized equipment help the students to visualize the atmosphere of real time process industries and the operations. The lab is also equipped with pilot scale equipment to experiment concepts of heat transfer operations.
Specifications
AREA
Existing: 1656 sq. ft
Proposed: 1350 sq.ft
(i) 900 sq. ft (30x 30 ft) (ii)450 sq. ft. (15 x 30 ft)
GENERAL
- Most equipment are heavy and create heavy vibrations which are to be bolted in the brick stage constructed above the ground.
- Considering the vibrations and heaviness of the equipment, the lab must be located in the ground floor.
- Wash basins and Floor drain is needed for the operation of water dependent experiments
- Regular water entry and outlet must be provided
