Food Engineering and Properties Laboratory

This facility is dedicated to studying the application of engineering principles in the food industry. It focuses on the development, optimization, and evaluation of processes, equipment, and techniques for food production, preservation, quality control, and packaging. Food engineering involves applying knowledge from various disciplines, such as chemical, mechanical, and process engineering, to enhance the efficiency, sustainability, and safety of food systems. The laboratory is equipped with analytical instruments that are essential for assessing quality control, safety, and consistency throughout the food production process. Students are trained in these analytical techniques to help assess various aspects such as nutritional content, chemical composition, microbiological safety, and texture properties of processed food.
