- TESTO 635-2 U-VALUE PROMO SET
Product highlights
To evaluate the heat insulation capability of a component (walls, windows), it is essential to know the heat transfer coefficient, or “U-value”.
The testo 635-2 U-value set is designed to calculate the U-value of any construction assembly. Along with Testo 635-2 thermohygrometer, all necessary temperature measurements can be carried out simultaneously, both indoors and outdoors: ambient air temperature, wall temperature inside, outside temperature via wireless transmission. The testo 635-2 thermohygrometer then calculates the U-value automatically and indicates this on the display. The measurement data can be stored in the instrument and subsequently evaluated on the PC using the software.
3 temperature values are required for calculating the U-value:
- Outside temperature
- Surface temperature of the internal wall
- Indoor air temperature
Using the new wireless probes, the outer temperature can be quickly and easily measured with the window closed. The probe is simply positioned outside and transmits readings by radio to the measuring instrument in the room.
With the U-value probe the two other temperatures required are measured using one probe. To measure surface temperature, three wires from the U-value probe are attached to the inner wall using modelling clay. The air temperature is measured by a sensor on the probe plug.
The three temperatures needed are determined by the connected temperature probes and transferred to the testo 435. The instrument calculates the U-value from them and shows it directly in the display.
Applications
- Testing the thermal properties of materials
- Study the heat transfer mechanism of various sections of roof/wall assembly

- TESTO 440 DP – AIR VELOCITY & IAQ MEASURING INSTRUMENT WITH INTEGRATED DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE
Product highlights
Testo 440 dP air velocity and IAQ measuring instrument used in combination with high quality probes can measure and store all air velocity and IAQ parameters. Up to 3 probes can be connected simultaneously a Bluetooth probe, a wired probe, and a temperature probe with a type K thermocouple connector.
CO2 probe measures the CO2 concentration which is a primary indicator of indoor air quality. Poor air quality due to excessive CO2 concentration results in tiredness and lack of concentration and can even cause illnesses. The CO2 concentration should therefore not normally exceed 1,000 ppm. Use the probe to determine CO2 concentration, air humidity and air temperature. Wet bulb temperature, dew point and absolute humidity are calculated at the same time.
The globe thermometer (thermocouple type K) probe enables standard-compliant determination and checking of the radiant heat. The hollow sphere has a diameter of 150 mm and there is a thermocouple type K at its centre for measuring the temperature. For example, if a significant temperature difference between the ambient and globe temperature is detected, the cause could be high solar radiation through the window.
Applications
- CO2 probe including temperature and humidity sensor can be used to check the indoor climate (indoor air quality), e.g. in offices, production areas or storage facilities.
- The globe thermometer probe is suitable for the measurement of radiant heat – e.g. in the context of standard-compliant comfort level measurement at the workplace. Thermal comfort is a crucial factor in terms of a person’s physical and mental capabilities – and should be ensured through regular measurements of the individual parameters directly at the workplace.
