About the Centre
The Centre for Intelligent Marine and energy systems is developed with the aim of enhancing the research capabilities for power engineers in the department with the technical support from National Instruments. It supports undergraduate, postgraduate, research scholars and faculty members to enhance rapid technology transfer in various domains in the field of power systems and power electronics & drives along with marine applications focusing on robotics.
The lab shows a new mechanism to improve the innovation ability of research scholars and to collaborate with the industry persons. It provides a platform for the research scholars in the department to share their knowledge in their field of expertise. It also helps the post graduate students to understand the basic necessity in doing research and to workshops majorly covering all areas of research in electrical engineering.
The lab is mainly utilized for research acquire guidance from the various experts in domains. The lab also supports in conducting lab sessions, short term training programmes and purposes which are highly beneficial to faculty, research scholars, UG and PG students. Many training programmes and workshops using the lab hardware’s and software’s are conducted which made high impact publications from faculties and students. The lab is also technically supported by industries and faculties from the department.
