CENTER FOR ACCES
Center for Advanced Complex Control and Embedded Systems (ACCES)
Center for Advanced Complex Control and Embedded Systems (ACCES) is one of the prime research centers of Department of Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering which focuses on the following core domains,
- Systems and Control
- Industrial IoT
- Industrial Automation
The Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) is a subset of IoT that specifically refers to industrial automation. IIoT connects automation devices such as sensors, actuators, and PLCs (programmable logic controllers) to the Internet as well as to each other which is known as machine-to-machine communication. IoT based Automation finds application in smart factories, smart buildings and process industries. For an example, an energy management system based on IoT can monitor real-time energy consumption and increase the level of awareness about the energy performance at any level of the supply chain. In a smart factory, IoT-based conditional monitoring of machines and data processing are the key elements in the whole system, through which data in the cloud platform will be analyzed to help managers making more efficient decisions in time.

Smart Bio-oxygen demand incubator is designed using Peltier effect which is more reliable and eco-friendly for maintaining the temperature by re- placing conventional mode of cooling using compressor. It is incorporated with real time monitoring of temperature and power fluctuations occurring within the incubator. The data obtained are uploaded to the cloud and the incubator is monitored remotely through an android application.

Patent Application No: 201841042002
The Eagle Eye A&D08 is an Ambient Light Sensor array with 8 LED-Phototransistor pairs offering great precision and accuracy, which makes it a great choice for line following robots. This line sensor boasts the capability to work even at significantly higher distances above the ground which other line sensors fail to do. Unlike other line sensors which only give a precise analog difference between black & white but fails to properly differentiate between different colours, the Eagle Eye A&D08 is well capable of yielding adequate analog difference between any two colours.
