Basic Civil and Mechanical Engineering laboratory has conventional machine which are capable of producing intricate featured parts and components. The highlight of the basic Mechanical Engineering laboratory includes auxiliary components of I.C engine, working model of two stroke and four stroke cycle engines and sand casting equipments.

The Basic Civil and Mechanical Engineering laboratory supports to conduct practical classes of 18MES102J for 1st year students belonging to school of mechanical engineering, School of Civil Engineering, School of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, School of Computing, School of Bio-Engineering . The major equipment available in machine shop are tabulated below.

The students are trained to operate all the above machines and learn various machining processes. At the end of the course, the practical examination has carried out to analysis the students knowledge gained during the course.
