The Department of Automobile Engineering has world class laboratories and the foremost & oldest facility is the Automotive Design Laboratory, started in the year 2013.
Its aim is to train students in the areas of Automotive Engineering Design, inculcate creative thinking and design thinking abilities. The design and analysis software are licensed and the latest versions are available, including (but not limited to), SolidWorks 2018, ANSYS 2019 and CATIA V5.
Design and Analysis of components and structures are specifically taught via Industrial modules with a highly practical approach.
A highlight is that Most of the Final Year Projects and a few Mini Projects in the field of Design are carried out at this facility.
It consists of 71 high end computer systems catering to the needs of all users ranging from novice designers to expert and Industry designers.
