Architecture Design Studio

The Department of Architecture, SRM Institute of Science and Technology offers a dedicated design space for students throughout the year for focused work and creation. Our studios are outfitted with cutting-edge drafting desks designed specifically for professionals. Natural light floods the rooms, which ­is regarded as optimal lighting for working. The environment promotes peer learning and one-on-one discussions with design faculty members who will visit each student’s work area to provide constructive feedback. The studio area was established to foster engaging works of architecture that meet the demands of aspiring architects and address the pedagogical problem of educating students through example. The studios were designed with the dual purpose of providing students with a space of seclusion to stimulate creativity while also encouraging the open display of student work from which they can draw inspiration and add to their expanding body of knowledge.
