ADL Lab
Occupational Therapists identity is defined in Independence. Therapists strive to advocate for client independence in their Activities of Daily Living (ADL) through rehabilitation and modifications. Our ADL is a simulated set-up focused to evaluate the Activities of Daily Living. The lab consists of supplies required to perform basic and instrumental ADL and adaptive devices like long handles, suspension device, dressing sticks, etc. Students through simulated practice gets an understanding about the difficulties present in this area of occupation among various conditions and plan adaptations required for patients with difficulties performing ADL skills like grooming, dressing, etc. Our students are trained to involve contextual practice and reasoning as they incorporate ADL training patients according to the Indian context.
