SRMIST Data Centre hosts many critical applications and services used by Faculty, Researchers and Administrative staff and connects all the building blocks of the university and campuses through the internet using cutting-edge technologies with floor space of 3,700 sq. Ft.
State of the art Tier-2 datacenter as per TIA 568 standards with redundant components like UPS, LT panel, PDU, Cooling systems, Power source etc. and providing 99.74% Uptime.
Our Datacenter is fully equipped with IP-based UPS, PAC, Fire detection systems, Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus (VESDA), environmentally friendly NOVEC-1230 based Fire suppression system, Water leak detection systems, Ultrasonic based Rodent repellent system, IP surveillance system and secured biometric door access system.
Physically secured Network and Server racks enclosures with cold and hot aisle containment.

High Performance Computing (HPC)

SRMIST has established a supercomputer centre with High Performance Servers, in 4 clusters consisting of 4 master nodes and 82 compute nodes and are deployed with various research tools.

The University’s network features top-notch security with an advanced Firewall, efficient traffic management via load balancers, and fast data transmission using low-latency switches.
Its three-tier architecture ensures scalability, while campus-wide Wi- Fi coverage offers seamless connectivity. Secure remote access is facilitated through SSL and IPSec VPN technologies.
