Twinning / Transfer programs allow SRMIST to offer Bachelors (UG) degree programs which will have their regular curricula. Through twinning / transfer programs, SRMIST students will be able to transfer their credits to the partnering universities after completing two year of their studies in SRMIST. Students, who opt for transfer, can then finish their degree by completing the remaining course duration at the partnering universities.
The number of credits for students admitted on transfer basis will be at the discretion of the partnering universities. Students enrolling in the Twinning program in the partnering universities will be given degrees by the partnering universities after successful completion of study. Transfer students will be charged the prevailing tuition by the partnering universities.
International Office of SRMIST has a unit that functions to stimulate curiosity for learning and access for students to Transfer and Pathway Programs at Bachelors level. Working closely with leading universities around the world, the unit offers a simple way of getting an international degree.
Program Structure
This is structured at the Bachelors level. For instance, students enrolling with SRM for Undergraduate engineering program will complete their two years of study at SRM, India and later move over to the partnering university in USA and other countries and complete the rest of the programme in the host foreign university to secure BS/MS from overseas.

Admission Procedure
All students who are desirous of pursuing Twinning / Transfer degree must first enroll into an equivalent degree program of SRM Institute of Science and Technology (formerly known as SRM University) through the regular admission process of SRM Institute of Science and Technology (formerly known as SRM University). After enrolling in the regular degree program of SRM Institute of Science and Technology (formerly known as SRM University) the student must register, at the earliest, with the Office of International Relations for the Twinning / Transfer degree program. The Office of IR will counsel and guide the students in choosing the right university / program that will meet their career objectives and affordability. Admission to the Bachelors (UG) / Masters (PG) Twining Program is purely on merit based on academic performance at 12th Standard / equivalent and the first year of study at SRM, assessment of ambition and excitement level, good communication skills, good testimonials / credentials and right supportive family background. Though all efforts will be taken by office of IR to satisfy the choice of the university that the student desires to pursue the twinning / transfer degree, it is subject to acceptance by the hosting university and seat availability and students meeting their admission criteria. In the unlikely scenario of the student not getting admission to the University of his / her choice then the student can continue in the degree program enrolled for at SRM and get degree from SRM. The transfer / twinning degree option is available under all degree programs of the faculty of Engineering & Technology, Management, and Science & Humanities.

- Must Maintain a minimum CGPA of 8 out of 10 during the first two years of study at SRM Institute of Science and Technology (formerly known as SRM University)
- High ambition and excitement level and good communication skills with right supportive family background
Graduate (PG) Programs Twining Program
A pass in the relevant degree or its equivalent with:
- Minimum 80% aggregate at the Bachelors degree.

- Information on the discounted tuition fee offered by some partnering universities can be obtained from the Office of International Relations, SRM Institute of Science and Technology (formerly known as SRM University).
- In case of not getting admitted overseas at the end of the second year, you would have the flexibility to complete your B.Tech at SRM Institute of Science and Technology (formerly known as SRM University), by paying the annual tuition fees fixed at the time of admission into the first year. for the remaining duration of study. There will not be any refund / adjustment of the excess fees paid due to registering / applying for the twinning / transfer degree program.
