Muthuramalingam Thangaraj is currently working as Professor and Head at the Department of Mechatronics Engineering, SRM Institute of Science and Technology. His primary area of research interests are unconventional machining processes and Mechatronics. He has published many of his research papers in the area of Electrical discharge machining, Electro chemical machining, Abrasive water jet machining and laser beam machining. He has also done some works in servo pneumatics and optimization algorithms. He serves to many reputed journals in various positions such as editors and reviewers. He has classified as Top 2% scientist in worldwide by Stanford University, USA, since 2019. He fetched best proposal in the category IULTCS (Young Leather Scientist) Machinery/Testing Grant – Erretre 2023, IULTCS, Germany. He represented Mechatronics Engineering in terms of Keynote speech, Session chair and paper presentation in many International Conferences and competitions held in Abroad countries such as USA, Germany, Belgium, China, UAE, Netherland, Turkey, Poland, Greece, Austria, Czech republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Saudi Arabia and Vietnam.
