Dr. Revathi Venkataraman
Revathi Venkataraman is currently serving as the Chairperson, School of Computing, Faculty of Engineering and Technology at SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Kattankulathur (SRMIST). Her leadership is marked by a commitment to academic excellence, innovation in education, and fostering a research-oriented environment.
She has played a significant role in steering the school towards greater achievements, focusing on enhancing the quality of education and expanding research opportunities for students and faculty. She has substantially contributed towards curriculum development, infrastructure improvement, and collaborations with leading industries and academic institutions globally.
Her research expertise lies primarily in the fields of machine learning, data mining, and network security. Her academic contributions are notable for their depth and breadth, particularly in the application of advanced algorithms and computational techniques to solve complex problems. She has also worked on issues related to wireless networks, including the development of efficient communication protocols and improving network security.
She is currently serving as the Executive member of ACM India (July 2024 – June 2028) and is working towards improving the quality of computer science and engineering education in academic institutes in addition to organizing training programs on innovative teaching practices.
