Dr. Nithya T G
Dr. T.G.Nithya is currently serving as Professor and Head , Department of Biochemistry since 2006. Her active research area is Cancer studies using rare plant species and Stem cell therapy using exosomes derived from umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells. She has more than 40 peer-reviewed research publications with more than 250 citations. She is currently guiding eight research scholars and three research scholars was awarded PhD under her supervision. She pursued her MSc Biochemistry at University of Madras Guindy campus and received her PhD degree from University of Madras. She is also a tamil writer and have published a poetry book and also have written numerous Science articles in tamil in leading Tamil magazines.
