A photography contest 2022 was conducted for all the staff and students of SRM IST organized by centre in commemoration of World Heritage Day – 18th of April 2022, which received an overwhelming response across the University from students and faculties, had a collective response of 15+ entries having a photo collection of more than 100 pictures across India covering the culture tradition and heritage in the lens of the citizen.
The winner of the photography competition was

- Ms. K Gayathri Bharathi – RA1911201010026, SAID – SRM IST, KTR.
- Mr. S. Naveen – RA1811201010069, SAID – SRM IST, KTR.
HERITAGE WALK
A heritage walk was organised by the centre to create sensitisation amongst the students of Architecture where around 15+ students of 3rd and 4th -year B.Arch & were taken on a heritage walk trail organized by Ar. Shanmuga Priya & Ar.Kousalya Devi to Mount Road the trail started at St. Gorgeous Cathedral, followed by a walk across Mount Road covering the Agurchand mansion, Higginbotham’s, LIC and some iconic identity’s of Mount followed by some of the reminiscing historical identities of then MADRAS Egmore, and Triplicane connecting and covering the hidden history and photo documentation of the same was done and collectively submitted as a report.
A collective exhibition of the same was hosted and exhibited by the centre on 18.04.2022 at SAID – Kattankulathur Campus.
