Transdisciplinary Conference April 2023
Conference Theme
Over the years, the transdisciplinary approach to languages and literatures has gained momentum in the world of academia. With the changing times, the research practices and teaching pedagogies have also acquired a new spectrum which is vital for the study of languages and literature. It enables the scholars and academicians to integrate and interpret the concepts of various disciplines through a critical lens which paves way for a holistic approach. Transdisciplinarity deconstructs and redefines identities by incorporating different disciplines. The integration of other fields of knowledge results in framing a new methodology, concept and theory. This approach is imperative and effective as it not only contributes to the existing knowledge, but also benefits the society at large. Further, in the post-human era, the transdisciplinary study is crucial since various factors influence human beings.
Transdisciplinary learning is the investigation of a pertinent idea, concern, or topic that combines the viewpoints of other academic fields in order to relate fresh information and in-depth understanding to practical experiences. Late in the 20th century, it also became associated with problem-oriented research that transcends academic, public, and private borders. To put it in simple words, solving ‘real-world’ problems requires reciprocal learning, collaborative effort, and knowledge integration. The concept transcends multidisciplinary pairings of existing methodologies to promote new worldviews or domains. The conference aims to investigate and take on a variety of viewpoints for thinking about language learning and the critical appreciation of modern literature.
The main focus of the conference is to explore emerging disciplines and approaches towards the study of languages and literatures.
