About the Seminar
The Seminar titled “The Rise of Blue Finance“ funded under AICTE VAANI 2025-26 scheme is to disseminate knowledge and strengthen the learning process through the medium of Indian languages, thus becoming a necessity to achieve the Viksit Bharat 2047 dream. The programme aims to strengthen academic understanding of emerging sectors in the regional language. In line with India’s commitment to harnessing marine resources for inclusive growth, this seminar aims to sensitise and equip students, faculty, and researchers with the knowledge and skills necessary to explore financial, technological, and ecological aspects of ocean-based sectors. This interdisciplinary program is intended to help faculty members build capacity to teach and research the pressing issues related to coastal resilience, ocean technologies, blue tourism, and sustainable finance. It also offers an excellent platform for academic-industry exchange and future collaboration.
About AICTE VAANI 2025-26 Scheme
The Census of India identifies 122 main languages and 1,599 other languages, with 30 languages spoken by over a million native speakers throughout various regions of India. Disseminating knowledge and enhancing the learning experience through Indian languages is essential for realising the Viksit Bharat 2047 vision. To enhance the quality of technical education in Indian languages, AICTE has inaugurated the VAANI (Vibrant Advocacy for Advancement and Nurturing of Indian Languages) 2025-26 scheme to offer a platform for academics and professionals to exchange information, experiences, ideas, and inventions in their regional language.
Objectives
To introduce participants to emerging concepts and practices in the Blue Economy through interactive sessions conducted in the regional language (Tamil), ensuring inclusive and effective knowledge transfer.
To provide deep insights into new-age marine technologies such as marine robotics, underwater wireless communication, and sensor networks, with explanations contextualized in the regional language for better comprehension.
To create awareness about the ecological impacts of ocean exploitation and promote strategies for sustainable development, using case studies and real-world examples communicated in the regional language for local relevance
To highlight the importance of coastal resilience and climate adaptation, particularly in the context of Tamil Nadu’s coastline, by fostering dialogue in the regional language to enhance accessibility and community engagement.
