Online Seminar on “Research Writing and Methodology” was conducted by the Department of English and Foreign languages, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, on 12th November 2021. The First session for the event focused on producing quality research and the challenges faced by the researcher. Dr Smriti Singh, Associate Professor, IIT Patna gave an enlightening presentation from 10 am to 12 am. Participants’ doubts were cleared in the last 15 minutes. The Second session was honored by Dr. S.P. Dhanavel, Professor, IIT Madras, who as a speaker illuminated the participants regarding writing and publishing research papers from 2 – 4 pm. The distinguished speaker interacted with the audience for half an hour and answered the queries regarding challenges in publication.
Dr. P. Tamilarasan, Head of the Department (i/c) was the convener of the event and it was coordinated by Dr. Poonam and Dr. Mahadevan. The huge number of 146 participants from different institutions of different states made the event successful. Feedback form stated that people who attended the event looked forward to such seminars in the future and both the speakers’ presentation would help in writing creative papers.
