To celebrate National Service Scheme Day on September 24th, 2024, SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST-KTR), in collaboration with the National Service Scheme (NSS), is organizing the NSS Award Ceremony and NSS Day Celebration.
The event will include discussions about the NSS’s purpose and objectives, as well as an awards ceremony honoring outstanding contributors.
The chief guest of the event is Dr. P. M. Nair, M.A., LL.B., Ph.D., IPS (Retd.), and the presidential address will be given by A. J. Hariharan, Founder and CEO of the Indian Community Welfare Organization (ICWO), Chennai.
The event is being held under the patronage of Dr. C. Muthamizhchelvan, Vice Chancellor of SRMIST, and Dr. S. Ponnusamy, Registrar of SRMIST.
The conveners of this event are NSS Programme Officers from SRMIST, including the NSS Programme Advisor, Dr. T. Lakshmanan, Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, SRMIST, and the NSS Programme Coordinator, Dr. V. Prakash, Head of the Department of Economics, FSH, SRMIST.
The event will be held on September 24, 2024, in the seminar hall on the 13th floor of the University Building, from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM.
