Madras day is celebrated on August 22nd, 2022 in commemoration of the founding of the city of Madras, over the years the celebration of madras day has gained momentum and is imparted to celebrate the heritage and cultural impact over the years.
This year we had the opportunity to organize a video documentary competition for students across SRM IST – Kattankulathur. To document the heritage and culture of madras, which has transformed over the years, the students can include old references to quote and understand the periodical change in the timeline, the video was potential documentation within the Madras region. We received active participation from students across SRM IST Kattankulathur campus and the winners of the competition are:
- Winner – Mr.Sanjay Kumar R (RA2011002010206) 3rd year – Mechanical Engineering, SRM IST
- Runner – Mr.KISHORE KUMAAR (RA2011004010459) 3rd year – ECE, SRM IST
The students were felicitated during the FAB 2023 event valedictory ceremony.
