Zephyr-The Literary Guild organized ” Languages Day” at Mini Hall-1 at 12:30 pm on 12 October 2023, which was an event held in collaboration with EFL dedicated to celebrating the diversity of languages spoken by the students of SRM as well as the myriad cultures. Dr. Manjula Rajan, an alumnus of the prestigious Madras University, presided over the event as the Guest Speaker. Dr. L. Kavitha Nair, Head of the Department of English and Foreign Languages delivered a dynamic welcome address. Hosted by Mr. Aashrith Atmuri (President) and Ms. Sonakshi Srivasta (member), the event saw some stunning displays of instrumental music, dance, and a play underlining the importance of being tolerant of different cultures and languages. Dr. B. Monika Nair, the association head proposed a vibrant vote of thanks to all the participants and audience. Overall, it proved to be a grand success, with the Zephyr organizing committee rising to the occasion with undeniable grace.
