Dr. Sucharita Srirangam [also known as Dr. Suchi] has been working as Senior Lecturer at Taylor’s University Malaysia since 2010. She graduated with her Ph.D. in Architecture from Edinburgh College of Art, Scotland, UK. She has built an international profile through research, teaching, and professional experience. Her research focuses primarily on urban design, where sustainability manifests in a synergy between space and users. She holds expertise in the sense of place, urban resilience, sustainable cities and communities (SDG 11), Space Syntax, and smart cities. Her teaching ethos is on an integrated approach to architectural design where-in the process becomes a balance between a triad of pragmatic, conceptual, and theoretical explorations. Dr. Suchi’s contributions include recommendations and effective space planning with environmental simulation tools such as space syntax, GIS, digital twins for smart cities, urban digital representation, and BIM modeling.
