The Faculty Development Program, held from July 13 to 19, 2024, in the Department of English and Foreign Languages, featured Dr. Susana Gomez Martinez, a distinguished Professor from the University of Valladolid, Spain, as the resource person. The program began with Dr. Gomez’s insightful talk on “Best Practices in Writing Research Projects” on July 13, focusing on enhancing research quality. On July 15, she discussed cross-cultural communication with faculty, emphasizing the importance of understanding cultural differences in academic settings. The following day, she explored the impact of AI on education, highlighting its transformative role and attended a special yoga session by Dr. Sudhan.
On July 18, she delivered a talk on “Technology Enhanced Language Learning (TELL)” and engaged in discussions about launching a new postgraduate program. The last day, July 19, featured faculty presentations on India’s cultural diversity, followed by one-on-one discussions with Dr. Gomez, offering personalized insights on research and projects. Her visit concluded with a meeting with the Director of International Relations.
