Empowering Health: Nutritional Awareness and Diabetes Screening Programme

On November 14, 2023, the Department of Biotechnology, in collaboration with the College of Pharmacy, SRM Medical College Hospital & Research Centre, and the National Service Scheme (NSS), organized a one-day wellness programme in observance of World Diabetes Day. Titled “Empowering Health: Nutritional Awareness and Diabetes Screening Programme,” the event was held at Prof. G. N. Ramachandran Hall, 6th Floor, School of Bioengineering.

The event featured an insightful session by Dr. K. Silambu Selvi, Associate Professor in the Department of Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics, SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre, KTR, who emphasized the crucial role of nutrition in diabetes management and prevention.
