The All-India Workshop on Android and iOS App Development for South Dravidian Endangered Tribal Languages took place on August 7-8, 2025, at the iMac Lab, TP 14th Floor, IE(I) Kattankulathur Local Centre, in collaboration with Dr. T. R. Paarivendhar Multidisciplinary Research Centre for Indigenous Language Studies, Department of Language, Culture and Society. With 53 participants and six resource persons, the workshop combined linguistics with mobile technology. Day 1 covered language preservation, data collection, and training in ELAN and FieldWorks. Day 2 focused on Android app development and featured the Irula Language App. The workshop demonstrated technology’s role in preserving indigenous languages, inspiring similar projects for under-documented languages.
