The virtual conference had 115 participants from various institutions, presenting a total of 105 papers. The inaugural function featured Dr. P. Tamilarasan’s welcome note, Mr. Kartar Singh’s presidential address emphasizing transformation, and Mr. Emmanuel Kulu’s speech on Africa’s distorted history. Day 1 included plenary sessions with Dr. John Sekar discussing transformative learning, Dr. Ranjan Gosh advocating critical thinking, and Dr. Chong Seng Tong covering Malaysia’s literature education. Day 2 began with Prof. Dr. V. Ganeshan’s insights into language teaching in India, followed by Dr. Rajesh Kumar’s views on language structure, and Dr. G.J.V. Prasad’s emphasis on translation. Both days featured parallel paper presentations.
The valedictory function had Dr. Priyadarshini Gupta discussing the shift to student-centered classrooms and the importance of course design and research. Prof. Dr. B. Neppolian encouraged more research. The conference’s success was attributed to Dr. P. Tamilarasan, the EFL team, and conference coordinators Dr. J. Micheal Raj and Dr. Horizan Prasanna Kumar.
