Dr. Prakash V Honored as Best NSS Programme Officer by Tamil Nadu State NSS Cell

Dr. Prakash V, Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Economics, Faculty of Science and Humanities, SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST), Kattankulathur, has been conferred with the prestigious Best NSS Programme Officer Award during 2025. The award was presented by the Tamil Nadu State NSS Cell, operating under the Department of Youth Welfare and Sports Development, Government of Tamil Nadu.

This distinguished award recognises Dr. Prakash’s exceptional service and outstanding contributions to community development through the National Service Scheme (NSS). The award ceremony was a significant event, graced by esteemed dignitaries including the Tamil Nadu NSS State Coordinator, the Commissioner of Collegiate Education, Directorate of Collegiate Education, Chennai, and Dr. P.N. Gunanidhi, the Tamil Nadu State NSS Officer, who formally conferred the honor.

Dr. Prakash V currently holds the vital position of NSS Programme Coordinator for the entire SRM Institute of Science and Technology. With an impressive record of over 12 years of dedicated experience in NSS, he has been instrumental in organizing numerous impactful and socially relevant programmes.
