About the Centre

College of Engineering and Technology at SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST), has established the SRM – Bosch Rexroth India (SRM-BRIN) “Centre of Excellence in Automation Technologies” in Collaboration with Bosch Rexroth, Germany the market leader in drives and control equipment with the primary objective of producing trained personnel for automation in industries. This has resulted in the establishment of state-of-the-art training at the SRMIST campus, Kattankulathur, Chennai.

Welcome message

The SRM-BRIN centre will act as an independent centre will cater the needs of all the technical institutes like poly techniques, Engineering institutes and Industries in the region of Tamilnadu- Chennai. The primary objective of the centre is to bridge the gap between the Industries and the Institutes and provides experience in the market segments of Mobile Applications, Machinery Applications and Engineering, Industrial Automation.

The centre will function on the concept of Institute in an Industry concept by providing hands on training to the trainers in the various fields of automation as modules like basic hydraulic technology, Industrial hydraulics, proportional technology, Basic pneumatics, Industrial pneumatics, closed loop pneumatics and PLC based control. Successful completion of above said modules by the Trainers will be offered a “Joint Completion Certificate” by SRM- BRIN centre. Also the Centre will provide solutions to the industries problems through the consultancy works and projects on need basis to enhance Industry- Institute- Interaction.

Our SRM- BRIN (Bosch Rexroth India) centre is established with the following:

  • Hydraulics Technology: 4 work benches (16 persons can be accommodated)
  • Pneumatics Technology: 4 work benches (16 persons can be accommodated)
  • PLC Technology – 4 Nos.(16 persons can be accommodated)
  • Faculty Trainers-Completed the Train-the-Trainer program at VTU-BOSCH centre, Mysore.
  • Advanced training@ Germany
  • Interaction rooms: with 24 capacity – two rooms

Module: 2 Industrial Pneumatics – 2 Days

Module: 3 Advanced Pneumatics – 2 Days

Note: All three modules in pneumatics put together can be offered in 5 days

Hydraulics

Module: 1 Basics of Hydraulics – 2 Days

Module: 2 Industrial Hydraulics – 2 Days

Module: 3 Proportional Technology – 2 Days

Note: All three modules in hydraulics put together can be offered in 5 days

PLC

Module: 1 PLC Basics – 2 Days

Module: 2 PLC Programming – 2 Days

Module: 3 PLC interface to Pneumatics Drive – 2 Days

Note: All three modules in PLC put together can be offered in 5 days
